BETTY D. WRENN
April 11, 1934 - August 3, 2026

LOUISBURG, NC -- Betty DeMent Wrenn, 92, of Louisburg, died Monday night at her daughter's home.

Betty was the daughter of the late William Mack and Sally Irma Aycock DeMent. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William "Bill" Arthur Wrenn; brothers, William DeMent, Herbert DeMent, Robert DeMent, Mack DeMent, George Winston DeMent, her sisters Josephine Leonard, Janie Perry, Ruth Oakley, Irma DeMent, Marie DeMent and Margaret DeMent Schepp.

Betty grew up in Youngsville, NC and graduated from Youngsville High School. She worked many years in accounting and farming with her husband, Bill.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8th at Piney Grove U.M.C. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 - 7:30 pm Friday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.

Betty is survived her daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Nathan Gminder of Greenville, Susan W. and Robby McDonald of Roanoke Rapids, Jennifer W. and Tracy Robbins of Youngsville; brother-in-law, Russell "Pete" Wrenn of Louisburg; grandchildren, Hope T. Inselmann, Brianne T. (Jason) Evans, Kelly M. McDonald, W. Bryce (Jennifer) McDonald, Caitlin R. McDonald, Baylee S. (Mickie) Shaw and Logan M. Robbins; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; best friend and canine companion, Buddy Blue.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Bettie Jeffreys and Jo Sledge for the excellent loving care and attention given to Betty.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Piney Grove U.M.C. c/o Donna Ball 352 Moulton Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
