Franklinton, NC -- Onda Frank Kearney, 80, of Franklinton, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 2, 1946 to the late Onda S. and Susie Hart Kearney in Franklin County, NC.

In addition to his parents, Onda is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Smith.

Onda is survived by his wife, Mary Smith Kearney; his son, Walt Fuller (Lynda); his daughter, Marquita Fuller Pearce; his son, Onda Frank Kearney Jr. (Lori); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Gary Kearney (Kathy); sisters, Betty Clark, Linda Strother, Sheila Smith and Rose Kearney, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends and visitors on Sunday, July 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Rd, Franklinton. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. at the church and was officiated by Rev. Carl Hunter. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services of Louisburg.
