Rachel Piper Dement

Louisburg, NC -- Rachel Piper Dement, 79, of Louisburg, died Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home. She was born on October 15, 1946, to the late Johnny and Louise Frazier Piper in Franklin County, NC.

In addition to her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Young, Charles Piper, Jerry Piper, Joe Piper, Michael Piper and Sarah Ann Piper, and her grandson, Joshua Wheeler.

She is survived by her husband, William "Donnie" Dement; her children, Gary Kearney (Karen), Beverly Kearney, and Chris Dement (Layla); seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, James Piper (Nancy), Sheila Archambault, Ricky Piper (Teresa), Peggy Garrett and Danny Piper (Tia), and special friend.

The family will receive visitors and friends on Thursday, April 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Robbie Piper.

Burial will be held at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, 4582 US-401, Louisburg, NC following the service.
