PAULINE P. HOUSE

FRANKLINTON--Pauline Philpott House, affectionately known as "Lady P," passed away at her home on Saturday, August 22, 2020, surrounded by family. She was born in a house on Mason Street in Franklinton and never lived more than 3 miles from that house. Although she lived in the same neighborhood most of her life she visited every state except Alaska.

She was a lifelong member of Franklinton Baptist Church. She served in various roles throughout her life. Pauline was an employee of the North Carolina Highway Department for 30 years.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Lonnie House; her beloved son, Romie House, and her "adopted granddaughter," Amy Caracofe. She is survived by first cousins, Paul Philpott and Bill Hagwood. Surviving her are also numerous nieces, nephews, and loving neighbors.

Graveside Entombment Service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., August 25, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 West Mason Street, Franklinton, North Carolina 27525, in her memory. The family is grateful for all of the love and acts of kindness shown to Pauline throughout her life.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 E Mason St., Franklinton. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
