Youngsville, NC -- Desarae Lewis Eason, 45, of Youngsville passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on August 28, 2026 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC.

Desarae is survived by her daughter, Kiersten Eason, and the love of her life, Jeffrey Eason, both of Youngsville, NC. She is also survived by her mother, Libba Markowski (Paul) of Kettering, Ohio; her father, Mike Lewis (Pat) of Slidell, Louisiana; her father-in-law, Carl McLeod of Youngsville, NC; her mother-in-law, Vicki Eason of Franklinton, NC; her brother, Chad Lewis of Slidell, Louisiana; sisters, Chasity Lundberg of Louisburg, NC, and Stacy Alexander of Kettering, Ohio; brother-in-law, Dustin McLeod (Katie) of Franklinton, NC.

Aunt Dee Dee adored her nieces and nephews: Cailtin Lundberg "Ladybug", Salem Sparks, Atticus Alexander "Cuss Cuss", Eden Alexander "Jae Bird", and Aubrey McLeod.

Desarae was preceded in death by her sister-in-law and best friend, Stephanie Lewis.

Desarae was born in Maysville, Kentucky on August 9, 1981 and raised in Louisburg, NC. Desarae and Jeffrey married in August 2005. Though their marriage ended in 2015, their bond remained strong and unbreakable. Jeffrey cared for Desarae steadfastly until her final moments. Desarae was most proud to be Kiersten's Mother. She loved children and "adopted" many of Kiersten's friends, with them calling her Mom. Desarae also had a deep love for animals.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on September 5, 2026 at New Hope Worship Center 7428 Pearces Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many friends who have shown their love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and strength.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Worship Church.
