FRANCES S. THARRINGTON
November 30, 1935 - August 26, 2026

Louisburg, NC -- Frances Shearin Tharrington, 90, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026 after an extended illness.

Frances was a daughter of the late Linwood and Hazel Nash Shearin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Tharrington and her beloved sister, Iva Lynn Mustian.

Fran was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished the time she spent with each of them. She was a faithful and active member of Hickory Rock Baptist Church and loved her church family and friends. She had many jobs over the years that involved her cooking skills and her flair for beauty and fashion and her care for people. She owned and operated a dress shop, Fran's Fashions, for many years until she retired.

Fran is survived by her sons, Chris Lancaster (Sue West); Rodney Keith Lancaster and wife, Cindy; sister and brother-in-law, Darnell and Barry Morgan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Milton and Faye Shearin; Donnie and Sandra Shearin; grandchildren, Todd Lancaster, Josh Lancaster, Keith Lancaster and Leann (Joe) Adcock; great-grandchildren, Noah Lancaster and Eddy Ray Adcock.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Hickory Rock Baptist Church. The family received friends 10:00 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. prior to the service. Burial followed at Lancaster Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hickory Rock Baptist Church, 1580 Firetower Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
