Louisburg, NC -- Funeral services for Gracie Mae "Ray" Wright Branch, age 101, who died on Monday, February 23, 2026, were held on Saturday, February 28, at 11 a.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Haywood Church Cemetery.
Born June 7, 1924, she is survived by ten children, five daughters, Joyce Crawley, Debra Alexander, Lizzie Mae Bood, Alberta Branch, Beatrice Kearney (Wayne); and five sons, Curtis Wright, Melvin Wright (Mattie), Wilbert Wright (Bettie), Levon Wright (Penny) and Joel Branch (Clara), all of Louisburg, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Friday evening from 5 until 6 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
