CASTALIA, NC-- Shelba Jean House Smith, 86, of Castalia, died Sunday evening, March 12, 2023, at WakeMed.
Born January 25, 1937, Shelba was the daughter of the late Henry Coplin and Dorothy Cornelia House. She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Smith, and son Chuck Best.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Lancaster Memorial Park. She will lie in repose at the funeral home from 12 - 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to White Level Baptist Church, 2400 White Level Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
