Feb. 26, 1917 - Jan. 15, 2019

YOUNGSVILLE - Rosa Lee Baker, 101, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning surrounded by her family. She was a loving Mother and a friend to everyone. She loved life and always had a smile and a sparkle in her eye. She was the oldest living member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She was born in Granville County, a daughter of late George Robert and Minnie Jones, and was the widow of George "Georgie" Baker. In addition, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marguerite Currin; son, Ray Baker, and infant son, James Cole Baker; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Bobby Baker and wife, Libby, Wayne Baker and wife, Carol, James Baker and wife, Lewtisha, and Barbara Richards and husband, Cordell; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1581 Bethlehem Church Rd., Youngsville, NC 27596.

The family will receive friends Saturday 12:30- 1:45 prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Barbara and Cordell Richards, 1246 Bethlehem Church Rd., Youngsville, NC.

The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Tricia Stillwell, Linda Chamblee, Linda Perry and Sharron Freeman.
