LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Walter "Pete" Alston, 67, who died Sunday, April 15, 2018, will be held Friday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Castalia, with the Rev. Anthony Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Church cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Qunella Moore of Enfield, Sabrina Moore of Raleigh; son, Walter Moore of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Daphine Spencer of Edison, N.J., Joyce Alston of Louisburg, Betty Jones (Randy) of Mcleansville, Joanna Bostic of Greensboro, Christine Sheard (Nathan) of South Amboy, N.J.; brothers, James Alston (Daphine) of Raleigh, Robert Alston and Bobby Alston (Wanda), both of Louisburg; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Open visitation will be Thursday from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg
