HENRY HALBERT "HAL" KEARNEY

FRANKLINTON (Granville County)--Henry Halbert "Hal" Kearney, 77, a long-time resident of Granville County, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at Pope's Chapel Christian Church, 1237 Pocomoke Rd., Franklinton, with the Rev. Alan Skinner Sr. officiating.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Kit Karson Kearney and Alma Wright. He was a member of Pope's Chapel Christian Church and was a manager of many Roses stores in the southeast.

Surviving: his wife, Faye Ellington Kearney of the home, two daughters, Alisa K. Medlin (Tim) of Bunn, Sharon K. Jones (Michael) of Franklinton, three grandsons and two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy K. Freeman; three sisters, and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested memorials may be made to Pope's Chapel Christian Church, 1237 Pocomoke Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Pope's Chapel Christian Church and other times at the home.
