FRANKLINTON --Ardell Rebecca Hawkins, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 11, at New Birth Christian Temple Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Billy E. Williams Sr. officiating. Interment was in the Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church cemetery, Franklinton.
RALEIGH - Helen Tucker Beckwith, 88, a prolific writer and storyteller, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014. Born in Raleigh, she grew up in Louisburg, the daughter of William Blair Tucker and Helen Welch Tucker.
