FRANKLINTON, NC -- Robert "Bob" Earl Wilder, son of the late John Simpson Wilder and Mabel Perry Wilder, was born on September 13, 1935, and died at the age of 90 years old, on August 17, 2026.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn, his son, Derrick, and a god-son.
Survivors include: his daughter, Dr. Michelle C. Wilder-Baker (Wilbert) of Youngsville, NC; his sister, Carolyn Wilder-Francis, two brothers, John G. Wilder and Reverend Danny Wilder (Sarah), all of Franklinton, NC; a special grandson and niece; and several other family members and friends.
Services were held Saturday, August 23, at First Baptist Church, 304 Main Street, Franklinton, NC. Rev. Barnard Allen, Pastor officiating.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
