ZEBULON, NC -- Daniel Raymond "Dan" Cone, 72, of the Pilot Community, died Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Dan was born October 16, 1953, in Franklin County, NC, to Glenn Dayton Cone and Lucy Wilson Cone.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beth; and mother, Lucy Cone Collier (Whit).
Dan is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Dayton Cone Sr. and his brother, Glenn Dayton Cone Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, at 2 p.m. at Zebulon Baptist Church, 400 N Arendell Avenue, Zebulon, NC. Rev Ward Page and Rev. Jack Glasgow will officiate.
Following the service a visitation with a reception will be held in the Zebulon Baptist Church fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend. All other times at the Cone residence.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Wake County SPCA or to Zebulon Baptist Church Endowment Fund, 400 N Arendell Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597.
The memorial service will be live-streamed on Zebulon Baptist Church Facebook page.
