Oxford, NC -- Funeral services for Idelle Tyson, age 87, who died on Friday, July 17, 2026, will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. from the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC. Burial will follow in the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
Born September 4, 1938, she is survived by her sisters, Trumilla Hargrove of East Orange, NJ, Elnora "Vee" Jones (Quincy) of Wake Forest, NC, Mary Powell (Clarence) and Kelly Alston (Bick) both of Raleigh, NC, Cathrine Miller and Edith Johnson (Johnnie) both of Bowie, MD, and Barbara Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD; brother, Rufus Alston of Wake Forest, NC, and a host of family members and friends.
Viewing is Saturday, July 25, from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC.
