LOUISBURG - Pansy Cardwell Hunt, 85, died Thursday night, May 5, 2016. A funeral service was held Sunday, May 8, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. A private family burial was held at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Hunt, and son, Ricky Hunt; sisters, Stella Adams Goforth and Florina McGuire Edwards; brothers, J.A. Cardwell; Thomas McGuire and Wade McGuire.

Surviving: daughters, Deborah (Richard) Tompkins of Louisburg, Jackie (Lewis) Stabel of Kannapolis, Cathy (Truby) Oakley of Youngsville; son, Bobby Hunt of Youngsville and his son, Chris Hunt of Raleigh; brothers Ray (Faye) Cardwell, Rufus (Mildred) McGuire, J.C. (Joan) McGuire, Billy (Edna) McGuire; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
