ALL SMILES FOR SANTA
ALL SMILES FOR SANTA

Little Riley Romero, 5, of Louisburg flashes her best smile for Santa last Saturday as she pondered her Christmas wish list. Santa visited the Louisburg United Methodist Church's annual holiday bazaar Saturday morning, one of his first official stops of the holiday season locally -- and he was a hit with many youngsters, although some of the smaller ones were just a little intimidated by the Jolly Old Gent from the North Pole, especially with that big beard and bright red suit.

Who knew slinging mud could be so much fun?
Who knew slinging mud could be so much fun?

First a confession: This week I actually got to do exactly what some politicians have been accusing me of doing for years.
I got to sling mud.

RED RAMS RALLY!

SANFORD - When the postscript is finally written on the 2018 Franklinton High School football season, one intangible will undoubtedly be accentuated.
This is one resilient, never-give-up bunch.
That attribute was on display the entire season for FHS, including a miraculous comeback victory at Wilson Fike in October that eventually served as a springboard for the Red Rams to qualify for the Class 3-A State Playoffs.
