FRANKLIN COUNTY -- Schools, government offices and travel were shut down Tuesday after about two inches of snow, sleet and ice fell through Monday night.
And save for brief periods where temperatures are expected to get above freezing briefly Tuesday and Wednesday, emergency and transportation staff are bracing for more bitter cold and terrible travel conditions.
