Breaking News: Justice fireman killed, another hurt in truck crash

FATAL TRUCK CRASH. A Justice Volunteer Fire Department member was killed and another fireman injured about 5 p.m. Tuesday as they were responding to a fire call at Lake Royale. Authorities said the tanker truck, apparently driven by John Gupton, about 26, was rounding a curve on Sykes Road when it apparently ran off the edge of the road, hit a culvert and overturned. Gupton was killed instantly, according to emergency workers at the scene.

CLORINE E. WILLIAMS

LOUISBURG—Clorine E. Williams, 73, of Schertz, TX, formerly of Louisburg, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 229 Walnut Grove Church Road, Louisburg, with the Rev. Timothy Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements by William Toney’s Funeral Home, Spring Hope.

LOUISBURG - William Russell Bunn, 67, of Louisburg, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at Rex Hospital. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Luella and F. R. Bunn.
