BUTNER - Edith Eloise Gupton Lewis, 88, a longtime resident of Granville County, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, at First Baptist Church in Butner by the Rev. Charlie Bryan and the Rev. Lennie Rogers. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
WAKE FOREST —Ronnie Wayne McGhee, 64, died Sunday, March 9, 2014. He was born in Vance County, the son of the late Mozelle Stroud McGhee and Connie Lee McGhee.
LOUISBURG - William Archibald “Billy” Foster, 74, of Louisburg died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Hock Family Pavilion. Billy was born on June 10, 1939 to the late John Luther and Mattie Murphy Foster. Billy was the youngest boy of 13 children. Mr. Foster was a PFC in the US Army, serving in Germany from 1960-1962. Billy was a member and deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, he loved farming, and could fix just about anything.
