ZEBULON - M. Marie “Ree” Gay, 84, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 at WakeMed. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 22, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Hattie Blanche Duke and Junie Eric Gay.

Surviving: sister, Hilda and husband Wilton Gay of Zebulon; brother, George Lawrence and wife, Jean Gay; three nieces; six nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by bothers, Ronald Lythford Gay and J. Broadis Gay.
