LOUISBURG - Eleanor Mae Danis, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at Nash General Hospital. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg. Burial will follow at the Wood Baptist Church cemetery in Wood.

She was born in Vian, Okla.

Surviving: two sons, Ben Winter (Pat) of Rocky Mount and Carl J. Danis of Lumberton; a daughter, Barbara Moreland of Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Terronez of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Jeanne Harrison of Littleton, Colo.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, Feb. 27) at the home of Ben and Pat Winter, 1808 Willow Glynn Road, Rocky Mount.
