Powell, TN -- Timothy Robert Harris, age 89 of Powell, TN, formerly of Louisburg, NC, departed life on earth on July 31, 2026. Born, December 30, 1936, in Franklin County, grew up in the Justice Community and graduated from Edward Best High School. Tim joined the United States Navy where he spent 4 years and received an honorable discharge while stationed in Norfolk, VA. A lifetime was spent in general construction and home building.

Tim loved the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman, always had a garden, orchard and grapevines wherever he lived. After the first 18 years in NC, he spent 20+ years in VA, returned to the Justice Community in NC for 22 years,then moved to TN for the last 25 years of life. After retiring, he became known as the iron skillet and jug man; due to his large collection.

Preceded in death by his parents; Robert Rudd and Elaine Sykes Harris, sister; Daphene Harris Brown, brother; Byron Keith Harris. Survived by wife; Mary Alice Sneed Harris, son; Robert Allen Harris (Mary B.), granddaughter; Kaitlyn Cleanthes (Arie), great-grandson; Arrow, and grandson; Robert Rudd Harris all of Knotts Island, NC. Sisters; Annette Harris Barlow of Bainbridge Island, WA and Pamela Harris Sheeley (Bill) of Louisburg, NC. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tim requested to not have a funeral. He was an organ and body donor to the University of Tennessee.
