Kittrell, NC -- Margie P. Pendergrass, 85, of Kittrell, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on June 19, 2026 after a brief illness.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, L. Wayne Pendergrass of the home; a daughter, Sandra Newton of Henderson, a stepdaughter, Kimberly Franklin (Kevin) one granddaughter and a great granddaughter; brother James Parham of Greensboro, NC and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Allene Parham and one son, James (Tommy) Thomas Newton, Jr; sisters, Vivian Williams, Ann White and Julia Parham and a brother, Charles Parham.

The family will receive friends at their home and have requested no food or flowers for the family.

Per her request, a formal service will not be held.
