FRANKLINTON, NC -- Conerd K. Frederickson, 84, of Franklinton, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Conerd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and servant of his community. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Claudia Frederickson; and his sisters, Mary Morrison and May Enquist.

A faithful member of Franklinton United Methodist Church, Conerd dedicated countless hours to serving others through his church family. He was actively involved in worship services, often reading scripture, helping children ring the church bells, and delivering food to those in need. His quiet acts of kindness and unwavering faith touched the lives of many throughout the Franklinton community.

Conerd was a caregiver, he gave of himself freely and never complained, always placing the needs of others before his own. He possessed a wonderful and mischievous personality that brought joy and laughter wherever he went. When anyone would ask if he needed anything, he would immediately respond, "a used bag of twenties".

More than anything, Conerd treasured time spent with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, compassion, and service that will continue through the generations he so dearly loved. To family and many friends, he was truly Santa Claus--always giving, always caring, and always spreading happiness.

He is survived by his loving companion, Freda Anderson; his sons, Carl Frederickson (Kim), Clark Frederickson (Linda), and Craig Frederickson; bonus children, Kim, Rod and Todd Anderson; his brother, Nile Frederickson; his sisters, Judy Christmas and Rhona Frederickson; and his cherished grandchildren, Conerd Frederickson (Annie), Nick Frederickson, David Frederickson, Brandi Mincey (Jeremy), Josh Frederickson (Tatum), Abbie Carter (Blair), Ben Dorsey (Shelby), and Tyreese Williams (Trinity).

He is also survived by his beloved great-grandchildren, Brandon, Piper, William, Charlotte, Rebekah, Addison, Marion, Branson, Levi, and Kehlani; and his great-great-granddaughter, Serenity. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, Freda's family, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." -- Matthew 25:23.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18th at the Franklinton United Methodist Church with Reverend Johnny Llerena presiding. A final resting ceremony will be held at a later date in Colorado.
