Nashville, NC -- Funeral services for Michael Anthony Battle Sr., age 74, who died on Friday, April 24, 2026, will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 12 noon from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville, NC with Rev. Keisha Spivey officiating.

Born March 30, 1952, he is survived by two daughters, Rev. Keisha Spivey (Eric) of Rocky Mount NC, Jamica Battle of Hillsborough, NC, two sons, Michael Anthony Battle, Jr. (Laisha) of Rocky Mount NC and Christopher Watson of Nashville, NC, one sister, Maxine Thornton (James) of Atlanta, GA, three brothers, Oscar Battle (Claudette) of Durham, NC, Harold Battle of Rocky Mount, NC and Mitchel Battle of Kingsport, TN; eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchild.

Viewing is Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville, NC.
