LOUISBURG, NC -- Barbara Wheeler Peace, 82, of Louisburg, died Saturday morning January 11, 2025.

Born May 31, 1942, Barbara was a daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Inez D. Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell T. Peace; sister, Lillian W. Parrish; brothers, Samuel M. Wheeler and W. Milton Wheeler.

Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Frankie Gilliam; sister, Joan Watson; and one grandson.

A funeral service was held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family received friends immediately following the service. A private burial was at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 351 T Kemp Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
