FRANKLINTON, NC--Mr. James "Buddy" Albert Ross Jr., 71, of Franklinton died Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born on January 3, 1951, to the late James Albert Ross Sr. and Edith Wall Ross.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert Charles Ross; and his daughter Jennifer Lynn Ross.

Buddy is survived by his daughters; Chandra Cook of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Ella Watkins of Bunn; four sisters, Rachel Layton of Franklinton, Rose Engelhardt and husband Jeff of Bunnell, Florida, Barbara Phillips of Garland, Texas, and Ann O'Neal and husband Mickey of Youngsville; three grandsons; one granddaughter; his significant other, Elaine Wood of Clayton, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel. The family will receive friends and visitors immediately following the service.
