DULCIE G. WILLIAMSOctober 8, 1933 - October 14, 2018

LOUISBURG - Dulcie Ann Gupton Williams, 85, of the White Level Community, died Sunday morning at her home.

Dulcie was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Annie B. Gupton.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at White Level Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private in the White Level Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dulcie is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Douglas Jackson "Jackie" Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Keith Phelps of Raleigh; grandson, Rhys Phelps; "adopted girls," Rita Horton, Michelle Willett, Jennifer Robbins and Tracey May.

Dulcie was a beloved member of her church and her community. She first met husband, Jackie, in first grade and they were rarely ever apart after that. He was the love of her life and together they were a perfect example of a fine Christian couple. After graduating from Edward Best High School, she went on to graduate from Louisburg College. She worked for First Citizens Bank for way over 40 years. Almost everyone in town knew "Miss Dulcie" from the bank. After her retirement, she enjoyed visiting with her friends and flower arranging. Her wonderful friends were so precious to her. She enjoyed their calls and visits so much and she also loved sharing stories and pictures with her friends about her only grandson, Rhys. She enjoyed reading quite a bit and contributing to many charities. She will be eternally loved and missed.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
