RALEIGH - Joan Mary Collins, 95, passed away on May 26, 2016 at Sunnybrooke Nursing and Rehab. She lived in Franklin County and retired to Sunset Beach, N.C. where she lived for 25 years.

Born December 11, 1920 to the late Frank and Nora Parfitt of Branley Kent, England. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Jack" Collins in 1978.

Mrs. Collins was cremated and her ashes scattered on Sunset Beach.

Surviving are a daughter, Julie of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; three sons, Andrew of London, England, Stephen of Houston, Texas, and Adam (Tracy) of Clayton; and one grandson, Joshua.

Our mother was a very kind and giving person. She enjoyed singing, gardening and traveling. She will be missed.
