LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Charles "C.W." Ellis, 85, who died Sunday, June 5, 2016, will be held Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Elaine Ellis of the home; one daughter, Brenda Newton of Navarre, Fla.; sons, Walter Ellis (Annie) of Henderson, Carlton Ellis of Durham; stepdaughters, Josie Person of Raleigh, Carolyn Coley (Vermus) of Louisburg, Delois Person of the home; one stepson, Michael Person (Elaine) of Asheville; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be held Thursday from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
