LOUISBURG - Eunice Pearce Horton, 91, died Friday night at Smithfield Manor. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 13, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. James Horton officiating. Burial followed in the Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.

She was a daughter of the late Bailey and Roxie W. Pearce. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Horton; son, G.B. Horton; two grandchildren; sister, Neva Martin; and a brother, Hubert Pearce.

Surviving: daughters, Evelyn Smith of Burlington and Louise (Jerry) Barbour of Princeton; sons, Dr. James (Gloria) Horton of Edenton, Charles (Teresa) Horton, all of Louisburg; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 888 M.C. Wilder Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
