FRANKLINTON — David Earl Wheless, 72, died Monday morning, Aug. 5, 2013 at his home. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Baptist Church cemetery.

He was a son of the late Woodroe and Hazel Wheless. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wheless.

Surviving: daughter, Barbara Ann Paschall of Zebulon; sisters, Edith Nelson of Plant City, Fla., Betty Wheless of Franklinton, Shirley Scott (Ron) of Laurel, Dele., Dorthey Church of Galax, Va.; brothers, Joe Wheless (Susan) of Louisburg and J.B. Wheless of Franklinton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, and other times at the home of Betty Wheless, 10 Wheless Ln., Franklinton.
