LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Ollie Foster “Granny” Strickland, who died Thursday, April 4, 2013, were held Wednesday, April 10, at Cedar Rock Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sylvester A. White Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Melissa Dean,  Alerta Alston and JoAnn Thomas, all of Louisburg; sons, Roma Strickland of Ft. Washington, Md., Simon Strickland, David Ray Strickland and Arthur Strickland Sr., all of Louisburg, John Thomas Strickland of Baltimore, Md., Willie Strickland of Youngsville, Morris Strickland of High Point and Charles Strickland of Deer Park, N.Y.; 49 grandchildren; 138 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
