ZEBULON - Oscar Barwick Jr., 89, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Funeral services were held Friday, March 15, at Strickland Funeral Home in Wendell. Burial followed at Montlawn Memorial Park.

A native of Duplin County, he was son to the late Oscar Barwick Sr. and Gladys Broughton Barwick.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alease P. Barwick; siblings, Irma Jean Rowe, Eunice Chalk and Braxton Barwick.

Surviving: stepdaughters, Jill J. Hinton (Eddie) and Linda J. Hocutt, both of Zebulon; and sister, Mary Joyce Esancy of Youngsville.
