YOUNGSVILLE - Funeral services for Johnnie E. Mitchell Sr., 72, who died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. John A. Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Evelyn Chavis Mitchell of the home; daughter, Veronica “Roni” Mitchell of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons, Johnnie E. Mitchell Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kevin D. Mitchell of Suffolk, Va.; sisters, Shirley Jean Stewart of Chesapeake, Va., Rebecca N. Mitchell and Margaret Elaine Crump, both of Williamsburg, Va.; brother, Joseph Michael Mitchell of Virginia Beach, Va.; and one grandson.

Wake services will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg.
