ZEBULON - Joanna Cornelia Solomon Banister, 75, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Zebulon  Ward. Burial will be at 12 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 29) at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Va.

A native of Plainfield, N. J., she was daughter to the late Daniel Webster and Johanna Pieters Solomon Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Banister; son, Mark Daniel Banister; daughter, Pamela Joann Banister; and brother, Daniel Webster Solomon Jr.

Surviving: daughter, Connie Morgan (Marcus); son, James Scott Banister; sister, Kathleen Hazel Solomon; and eight grandchildren.

Flowers or memorials to the National Alzheimer’s Association are welcomed.
