SPRING HOPE - Karen Dollar Edwards, 59, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 1, at Peachtree Baptist Church.

She was born in Durham County, daughter of Henry and Jean Dollar. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years at Cedar Grove, Rocky Ridge and Spring Hope Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Dollar.

Surviving: husband, Lawrence Edwards; sons, Adam (Sarah), Aaron (Beth); mother, Jean Dollar; brothers, Don and Isaac Dollar; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peachtree Baptist Church, 3523 NC 581, Spring Hope, NC 27882.
